1. Whippet vs. vacuum. Usually dogs freak out over the vacuum, but Myles wants to eat it.

2. Whippet vs. tables. Bayou has a habit of jumping on tables. See what happens when the table (or in this case, the Scat Mat, fights back.)

3. Whippet vs. hairdryer. Who knew a whippet could love a hair dryer so darn much? Introducing Neo, who lives with his person, Jen:

The Squirrelizer

Mirabel has got two squirrel kills since she joined the pack in the Hammer. Ribsy has only managed a single kill. (And let's not get started about the accomplishments of Daphne, Mirabel's smaller but much more dangerous sister.)

So what if your dog isn't as fast as a whippet and can only dream about catching one of these furry rodents? You can easily and magically put the little vermin in the picture, thanks to the Squirrelizer and one famous little Banff squirrel.

Oh what fun you can have. Check this one out. Here Ribsy and his statuesque double keep a sharp watch for offensive backyard critters. Little do they know that the little nut disturber is right behind them. Sneaky, sneaky!

Playing Favorites

Ribsy, Mirabel, Boy and Girl are a pack, but there's no doubt that if he was to be stranded on a desert island, Ribsy would prefer Boy's company. See joy in above photo. When Boy's not around, Ribsy really, sorely, deeply misses him.

In fact, his new iPhone wallpaper features none other than Boy. Maybe he'll switch to a squirrel by Friday, but for now it's all about the Boy.

But Girl doesn't feel completely excluded. That's because Mirabel likes her more. And Mira can literally knock you over with her unbridled affection. One can't help but be flattered by that.

Feeling Peachy

Yesterday Mirabel went to her first ever Peach of a Celebration at Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Having visited in 2007, Ribsy showed her how it's done:

1. Put on your most charming face to get lots of attention from other festival-goers, and to possibly score a taste of the treats on the street.

2. Eat steamed corn on the cob with gusto:

3. Stay focused in the hot sunshine, for the sweet stuff is sure to come.
